Pulsar Informatics, Inc. (“Pulsar,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protect the privacy and security of personal information. This Online Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how we the collect, use, and protect information in relation to our mobile services, websites, and any software provided on or in connection with the products and services we offer (collectively, the “Services”). Our Policy applies to all visitors, users, and others who access the Services. It applies only to information collected through the Services and not to information collected offline.

1. Information We Collect

Information you submit. When you request information, subscribe for a service, register as a user, respond to an online survey, or otherwise actively send us data, we usually collect data such as your name, email address(es), mailing address(es), telephone number(s), and certain information related to the business you represent. In connection with chargeable services, we will also collect payment information (e.g., credit card number and related verification information). In each such instance, you will know what data we collect through the Services, because you actively submit it.

Information received from third parties. Some of our Services are designed to work in conjunction with third-party software applications (“Partner Services”). You may have submitted information through a Partner Service which is then accessed by or transferred to our Services to produce the results you ask for.

Information we automatically collect. As part of the standard operation of the Services, we may collect information from your computer or mobile device, including, but not limited to, your browser type, operating system, IP address and the domain name from which you accessed the Services, and if you are accessing the Services with your mobile device, type of mobile device. In addition, we may collect information about how you use the Services, such as the date and time you visit, the areas or pages of the Services that you visit, the amount of time you spend using the Services, the number of times you return to the Services, as well as other click-stream data.

Cookies. We may use cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies to collect the information described above. A cookie is a small text file that may be stored on the hard drive of your computer or device when you access the Services. We may also use cookies to remember you when you return to the Services and to conduct research to improve our content and services.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use information that we receive to:

  • help you efficiently access your information after you sign in
  • remember information so you will not have to re-enter it during your next visit
  • administer, protect and improve our Services
  • refine biomathematical fatigue models to improve the accuracy of predictive analytics
  • develop and test new features, products and services
  • diagnose or fix technology problems or technical issues with the delivery of our Services
  • compile aggregated statistics related to the usage of our Services
  • monitor performance metrics and perform security audits
  • provide you with technical support
  • provide you with information about our technologies, product or service releases, news, and other communications

We may remove parts of data that can identify you and combine the anonymized data with other information in a way that is no longer associated with you. The resulting aggregated information may be used in future products and services that we offer.

3. Sharing of Your Information

We will not rent or sell your personally identifiable information to third parties without your consent, except as noted in this Policy.

We may share your information within the Pulsar group of companies.

We may share your information with third parties operating Partner Services to produce the results you ask for.

We may be required by law, court proceedings, or other law enforcement officials to share your information in the interest of protecting or exercising our or others’ legal rights.

If we sell or otherwise transfer part of the whole of Pulsar to another organization in the course of a transaction such as a merger or acquisition, your information may be among the items transferred in connection with the transaction, and the commitments we have made in this Policy will be assigned to the buyer or transferee.

We may use third party vendors to perform certain services on our behalf, such as those:

  • hosting our website;
  • hosting our customer relationship management software as a service;
  • hosting our live chat software as a service;
  • hosting our company email server;
  • processing your payments;
  • maintaining, enhancing, or adding to the functionality of our website;
  • operating our website’s features;
  • fulfilling and processing orders;
  • assisting with promotions;
  • collecting web analytics data; and
  • enabling us to send you email, or performing other administrative services.

We may share your personally identifiable information with these third party vendors solely to enable them to perform the services for us. We require that those third party vendors maintain at least the same level of data protection that we maintain for such data. However, some of our vendors may process your data outside of the United States.

We reserve the right to use, transfer, sell, and share aggregated, anonymous data, which does not include any personally identifiable information, about our website’s users as a group for any legal business purpose, such as analyzing usage trends and seeking compatible advertisers, sponsors, clients, and customers.

We do not provide your personally identifiable information to parties unconnected with the services we provide. Except as disclosed in this privacy notice, we will not provide your data to third parties.

We are not responsible for the processing of your personally identifiable information or any of your information by any third party, other than those third parties acting as our subcontractors to process data on our behalf. Pulsar remains liable and responsible for the data processing operations undertaken by our subcontractors on our behalf.

4. How We Store Your Information

We use commercially reasonable safeguards to help keep the information collected through the Services secure. However, we cannot guarantee that information on the Services will not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed. It is your responsibility to safeguard any credentials you use to access the Services and to notify us if you ever suspect that your access credentials have been compromised.

We have contracted with industry leading third party cloud service providers (“Service Providers”) to host the Services and store your information. Your information collected through the Services may therefore be stored and processed in the United States or any other country in which the Service Providers maintain facilities.

By using the Services you consent to the transfer of your information to the U.S. or to any other country or jurisdiction in which Pulsar or its Service Providers maintain facilities and to the use and sharing of your information as described in this Policy.

5. Your Choices About Your Information

To opt-out of receiving commercial email or to unsubscribe from Services, please notify us by sending an email of your intention to unsubscribe.

If personal information you have submitted through the Services is no longer accurate or complete, and you wish to update it, please email your changes to us at the address set forth in section 11. Upon appropriate request, we will update or amend your information.

You can access, change, or update personally identifiable information you have provided and your preferences regarding information you receive from us by starting a support ticket with Pulsar. To do this, please send your request via email to the address set forth in section 11. You may also contact us using the information found in the Contact Us section of this privacy notice to exercise your rights described in this section. We will implement any requested changes as soon as we reasonably can, subject to reasonable limitations, such as the need to verify your identity.

When you edit your data or change your preferences, data that you remove may remain in our databases or backup media because it is not always possible to completely remove or delete data from those locations.

6. Children's Privacy

Our Services are directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older. We do not intentionally or knowingly collect personally-identifiable information from children under the age of 13 and we request that individuals under the age of 13 not submit any personal information to the Services.

7. Other Websites and Services

We are not responsible for the practices employed by any websites or services linked to or from our Services, including the information contained within them. This Policy does not apply to such third-party websites or services. We do not have control over and are not responsible for the performance of any third parties that you authorize to access your information.

8. Amendments

We may change this Policy from time to time and in our sole discretion. We reserve the right to change, modify, add, or remove portions of this Policy at any time, but will alert you that changes have been made by indicating on the Policy the date it was last updated. We recommend that you revisit this Policy on occasion to learn of any changes.
