The 3-year-old company, which has grown from one to 15 employees, is leasing 3,255 square feet of office and lab space at 3401 Market St.

Pulsar Informatics specializes in conducting developmental research in the assessment of cognitive performance and fatigue risk management — particularly among people who experience stress associated with shift work, night work, and extended duty hours. The company is developing a set of advanced tools for assessing and improving an individual’s performance and to forecast and mitigate the risk of fatigue-related mistakes and incidents.

“We’re proud that Pulsar is staying in Philadelphia and continuing to contribute to both this important industry sector and the regional economy.”

Stephen S. Tang, president and CEO of the Science Center

Pulsar’s tools are being used in operational, research, and clinical trial settings by the National Aeronautics and Space Agency, the Department of Transportation, the Federal Aviation Administration, the Department of Defense and at Fortune 500 companies and universities.

“We’re proud that Pulsar is staying in Philadelphia and continuing to contribute to both this important industry sector and the regional economy,” said Stephen S. Tang, president and CEO of the Science Center.

Tang noted two other life sciences companies, Avid Radiopharmaceuticals and Integral Molecular, have “graduated” from the Port business incubator and chosen to remain on the Science Center Campus.
